It's coming 2015! WOW! This picture says it all time just slipping away. Finished last semester with straight A's except for George Hulls Urban Plant Id class. Very disappointing...on a brighter note i got a partime job!
Will be meeting with Jonathan on 1/3/2015 Elgin Nursery a whopping 8.50 an hour..can't remember when i only made that much..lol but the experience will make up for the hourly rate plus free use of their heated greenhouse. Here's to growing in 2015!

Almost 3 months have passed by...

Way to busy with class at MCC and life! I have not entered a picture or anything since March, how am i supposed to remember all i have done if I don't write it down...suppose i need to remember that first.

Sooo what has happened since March:

Both garden were planted for spring, tomaotes are not as abundant as they were last year. Not sure what the issue has been, it has been a very dry spring no rain and no humidity. Have had a lot of blossom drop and even some plants just up and die. I rotate every year between the three gardens? Once the potatoes are done and the melons and squash plan on turning the first plot and possible put in a cover crop. Problem is i will have tomatoe starters ready to go in August...

School is over until fall took the following classes:

Irrigation Design- B+
Soil Science- B
Plant Biology- A+

Would have been wonderful to have straight a's...but it has been a long time since i hae been to school and well college even. This fall i have signed up for 4 classes...am hoping i can carry a B+ or better thru all of them.

Landscape Design
Grounds Mgt
Urban Plant care & ID
Indoor Foliage Plants

Let's hope that it is not too much of a load as i still need to play in the dirt as well as continue to push for Maggie May Kookies!
And we made it official in the eyes of the state on 4/1/2014 and got "hitched"..lol never thought i would do that again huh!

Carrots unearthed....

Carrot soup for dinner! MMMM...good!

Thyme were does it grow....

Time is just disappearing...it is already Feb 13 the day before valentine's!

So much has happened since my last post but then yet so little.

Something pretty to look at to cheer me up! Robert's car was totalled but no one was hurt . had to buy another car...mmm was not in the budget. Mom is getting worse.....i know it is going to happen but i am having to make myself call her as i never know what her reaction will be. I sure hope Daddy is doing ok i worry about him. I got a 72 :( on my first test on Plant Biology...i am revamping on how i study and take notes with the expectations of getting 100 on the next one. I knew 5 of the 10 i missed and marked them wrong? why? i think i stress out and don't focus...don't tell me this is the beginning of my demise of where Mom is at now. It worries me...

Now onto gardenening well that has also taken a turn for the worse. Is it me..maybe i need to be more open. Rich, Scott and Jon will be on the board after this meeting on Saturday i am sure of that. He does have great enthusiam and some great ideas...some that have already been researched and not come to fruitation as it was not possible once the research was done. He does not do research...comes off half cocked and argumentative. I hate argueing can not deal with it and my decide my time as a garden coordinator is done. In reality i should spend all the time i do at the garden when i don't tend to our garden focusing on finding our own "garden" or my own community garden. It is almost like the principle of working for others verus yourself. Well we shall see what happens on Saturday he has stopped emailing me as i pissed him off i am now "excluded".

Uncle Paul passed away 2 weeks ago. Robert and Kristi just got back from Minnesota...burrs! Poor Robert going from -40 to 85. and he is in bed sick. Hopefully as i am typing he is feeling better.

Let's hope the news gets better...tax appointment tonight. Am hoping for no more surprises....except a good one.

Sun is shining....

and here is sit...in front of the idiot box! Should be hanging out at the garden in the sunshine 78 degree weather. I will miss it when it is 120 and i am dying! What can i say...homework...part of college. Made it thru the first week of classes
Irrigation by Design
Plant Growth Development
Soil Structure
at least they are about the garden!

Talked with Dad this week the most in several years except when i go there for a visit. Mom has diagnosed with dementia / short term memory loss. Not that this is new news but it is to Dad. I just hope in another 10 years if it comes to that for me there is a cure. Until then whatever we can do to help out we will. What a way to end the week as i was typing this i heard a "crash" then alarms....Robert's car got hit. It was parked in the street a 16yr old driver apparently was looking for his glasses did not notice Robert's car hit the gas in panic versus the brakes BAM! moved the car like 50ft. Not sure if the BMW will recover from this one will wait and see what the shop says. Onto a new week :)

Transplant updates

Coming along well, handled transplant separation without any wilting didn't loose any. Will be transplanting peppers today into separate containers. Found some purple tomatillo seeds this morning in my seed stash planted 4. Will have to go up to Walmart and buy another heating pad. Robert tried to reset it so it would say on permanently but it didn't work :(
